ANNUAL ABSTRACT OF STATISTICS, 2010

The Annual Abstract of Statistics, is the standard summary of data on society, economy and organizations in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The publication is a convenient reference source for statistical and related information, with appropriate introductions to the various sections.

In this edition, there are additional tables that cover a variety of topics, including household characteristics, living standards, health, education, communications, banking, insurance and general elections.

The publication is available on the Internet and CD-ROM. The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) website, www.nigerianstat.gov.ng, contains this edition in Adobe Acrobat format.

The statistical information in this publication were extracted from many sources.  All data from administrative records, surveys and censuses are subject to error arising from a number of factors such as sampling variability, reporting errors for individual units, incomplete coverage, non-response and imputations.

Users of this publication are urged to make their data needs known for consideration in planning future editions.
